Leaked Canon EOS RV Mirrorless Vloggers Camera Image by Mirrorless Rumors
A leaked image of a white Canon EOS RV camera has surfaced on the Mirrorless Rumors website, revealing a new mirrorless model with a compact design. The camera appears to be primarily designed for vloggers, resembling Sony's ZV-E10 & ZV-E10 II and Nikon Z30 more than Canon's own EOS R50 and R100 series or any other RF mount cameras. Following the release of the PowerShot V1, a compact camera aimed at vloggers, it's evident that Canon is making a serious push into the vlogging market with this rumored EOS RV model.

Canon EOS RV Features: Mount, Sensor, and a New Lens
While no official specs have been released, the leaked image provides some clues. The EOS RV features Canon’s RF mount, making it compatible with all RF lenses, and it is reasonable to guess that it has the 1.6x crop APS-C sensor as with its RF-S cameras. What I would love to know is if it is going to use the lovely 33MP APS-C sensor on the EOS R7, or the standard 24MP one that is used in beginner level cameras, or a totally new sensor.
A New PowerZoom Lens
The camera is pictured with what appears to be a new lens, likely a Power Zoom typre, based on the "T" and "W" markings on the lens body. Additionally, the camera has a zoom rocker around the shutter button, reinforcing the likelihood that this is a power zoom body-and-lens combo, similar to the Sony ZV-E10 II and E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS II combo.

Currently, Canon does not offer a Power Zoom lens for its RF mount, making this potential addition noteworthy. What is a bit strange is that the lens seems to be quiet large, despite having a very small front element.

Viewfinder
The RV10 appears to lack a viewfinder, which is a bit disappointing. However, given the target audience, this is likely an acceptable trade-off—as long as the rear LCD is fully articulated. Based on the visible hinge on the side of the camera, we’re 99% sure it will be.

One wishful-thinking feature would be if Canon released an optional external viewfinder for this camera, just like the one that was available for the EOS M6 Mark II.
Flash
On the top of the camera, there's a flash hot shoe, which is most likely a multi-function type, allowing compatibility with various accessories. However, there’s no built-in flash, which isn’t surprising since this has been the norm for compact mirrorless cameras for quite some time.
Ergonomics
The Canon RV features a shallow finger grip, but we’ve seen worse. Historically, Canon’s mirrorless and DSLR cameras have been among the most comfortable to hold, so it's unlikely they would compromise much in this area. The camera appears somewhat chunky, possibly to accommodate an active cooling system, which I’ll discuss later. Additionally, some of its corners are not rounded, a design choice that's uncommon for Canon cameras.

Design & Aesthetics
Looks are always subjective, but in my opinion, the white camera body paired with a silver lens just doesn’t work. A matching color scheme would have been a better choice. Personally, I’d prefer an all-black finish, but I understand that there’s a market for cameras with a more distinctive or unconventional appearance.

Active Cooling
The camera body looks quiet thick and there is a grill-like area ont he top of the body which may indicate that the RV has active cooling inside. It would be a surprise if it doesn't considering even the new fixed-lens compact PowerShot V1 has it. Active cooling systems proved to be very effective in extending the operation time without overheating, making it suitable for long recording sessions.
