Canon EOS R50 is an Entry-Level Mirrorless Cameras with RF Mount and APS-C Sensor
Canon has issued a "Notice of Free Repair Service" for the EOS R50 (Black) in the USA, Australia, and parts of Asia. The notice addresses an issue with the mode dial affecting a small number of black-finish R50 units. Good news for procrastinators: the repair period is open until July 31, 2028 so you’ve got plenty of time to wait until the last minute!

Concerning the Mirrorless Camera EOS R50 (Black model only), a small number of units may be affected by an issue in which the mode dial may become stiff and difficult to operate, or it may break and detach from the camera.

The EOS R50 is the third most affordable camera in Canon’s RF mount lineup, with an MSRP of $759. The only cheaper options are the EOS R100, which shares the same body design, priced at MSRP of $529, and the vlogging-focused EOS R50 V at MSRP of $699.
