A pre-shooting buffer in cameras is a feature that continuously records photos into a temporary memory buffer before you actually press the record button. When you do start recording, the camera saves a certain duration of footage from before the button was pressed. The advantage of this feature is that it helps capture unexpected or spontaneous moments, particularly useful in wildlife photography, sports, or any situation where timing is unpredictable. Currently there are only 48 cameras with PreShooting Buffer. The latest released PreShooting Buffer cameras are the Canon R6 V, the Sony A7R VI and the OM System OM-3 Astro.
