Sigma has revealed its plans to introduce a new 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports lens for E-Mount and L-Mount cameras, set to be released in December 2023. The new lens is going to be in direct competition with the popular lenses such as the Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II in E-mount and the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200 F2.8 O.I.S. in L-mount.

The forthcoming SIGMA lens will incorporate an HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) ensuring swift, silent, and precise autofocus, making it ideal for capturing quick-moving subjects. Thanks to SIGMA's 'OS2' algorithm in its optical stabilizer, photographers can confidently use the lens in dimly lit conditions, even without a tripod.
Furthermore, this lens is designed with weatherproofing in mind. This new lens pairs seamlessly with the SIGMA 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN | Art and the SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN | Art, together offering a trio of lenses broad focal range with a consistently bright F2.8 aperture.
Price and Availability
The SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports lens will be compatible with both L-Mount and Sony E-mount. Pricing details have yet to be disclosed.
