Tamron 150-500mm Firmware Update brings 120fps Shooting Capability
Tamron has added another lens to the list of models that support up to 120 fps continuous shooting on Sony’s A9 III global shutter camera: the 150-500mm F5-6.7 Di III VC VXD. As with the lenses that received this capability earlier, there are some limitations. The lens can reach up to approximately 120 fps only when the focus mode is set to AF-S, DMF, or MF, and it does not support 120 fps shooting in AF-C.
Changes and Improvements
1. Improved AF performance during zooming
2. With α9 III, when its focus mode is set to AF-S, DMF, or MF, it will support continuous shooting at up to approximately 120 frames per second
3. Improved of AF assist function.
The firmware update can be downloaded at Tamron Official Support Page.
