Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS is one Beast of a Lens!
The Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS Sports is a beast. It packs a huge 105 mm front filter and tips the scale at 1,800 g, or 1,820 g for the L-mount version. I’m planning to rent the E-mount version first before deciding on a purchase, but I wanted to compare it with my own gear on paper first. Against my Sony FE 300mm f2.8 GM OSS, I was surprised to find the Sigma is actually 330 g heavier. Just for fun, I lined up a few longer lenses to see which ones the Sigma still outweighs, and here’s what I found:

This images really show what a fast aperture demands. The Sigma 200mm F2 dwarfs even 500mm primes and zooms with full-frame coverage, though those are much slower lenses.
