Sigma launched a new teaser video (Check Official Page ) stating 'Sigma Corporation will be announcing a new product on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 9pm'. The rumored Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN Art full-frame zoom lens for Sony E and Leica L mount cameras is expected to be announced during this live event.
Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 for Leica L and Sony E Mounts
We received a leaked image from a reader, supposedly showing the new Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 lens attached to a Sony Alpha A7 III camera. From the image, we can see that the lens is quite long and bulky for a standard focal range lens, due to its ultra-fast constant aperture of F1.8 (for a zoom lens). The lens also features an aperture ring, a focus hold button, and an internal zoom design.

The new Sigma reminds us of another fast zoom lens, the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM with APS-C sensor coverage for DSLR cameras, which was groundbreaking when it was first released but unfortunately Sigma never released a mirrorless mount version of it.
