Sigma 16-300mm for Canon RF Mount now available
The Canon RF mount version of the Sigma 16-300mm f3.5-6.7 DC OS C superzoom lens, which was announced earlier, is finally shipping with an MSRP $769. This is great news for users of Canon RF cameras with APS-C sensors, as the mount has been lacking superzoom options, mainly because Canon only recently allowed third-party manufacturers to release RF-S compatible lenses.

Another superzoom that was promised for a Summer 2025 release was the Tamron 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (read our hands-on review), but it still hasn't reached retailers.
Tamron 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD Lens forCanon RF
At the moment, the only Canon-branded RF-S superzoom lens is the RF-S 18-150mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM, although it falls short of being a true superzoom since it offers less than a 10x zoom range. The only genuine Canon superzoom for the RF mount is the RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM, but it's quite large, making it less suitable for the more compact RF-S series cameras.
