OM System OM-1 Mark II
OM System today announced the OM System OM-1 Mark II, a slightly updated version of the OM-1 which was an updated version of the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III.
Here is the summary of improvements that I could find over the Mark I version:
- Improved Buffer in Continuos Shooting mode ( more than 200 RAW frames at 120 fps, was ~90 frames)
- New Live Graduated ND Filter (replicate the effects of a graduated ND filter for landscapa photography)
- Increased Live ND Filter Range ( now up to 7-stops / ND 128 , was 6-stops / ND 64)
- Vertical Video recording Mode
- Enhanced AF and AI based subject recognition capabilities
- IBIS improved to be effective upto 8.5-stop (was 7-stop)
- Blackout-free Viewfinder at 12.5 and 16fps modes (was blackout-free only at 50fps before)
- Rubberized control dials
- 14-bit RAW High Res Shot mode (was 12-bit before)
- Slight change on button placement to impreve right-hand usability
Besides the OM-1 Mark II, OM System also unveiled the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f4.0-5.6 II and the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-600mm f5-6.3 IS lenses.
Price and Availability
The OM System OM-1 Mark II will be available in late February for $2,399 body only. The original OM-1 can be purchased for $1,999.
