Looks like Viltrox isn’t easing up. Just hours after the AF 56mm F1.2 Pro went official, a new AF 9mm F2.8 Air has already popped up on Asobinet and even on a UK retailer, so a full announcement feels close. It’s an ultra wide, roughly 13.5mm full frame equivalent, with autofocus for Sony E and Nikon Z, and it falls under Viltrox’s AIR series of compact, lightweight lenses. Expected US price is around $249.

On E-mount, the Viltrox AF 9mm f/2.8 will go up against options like the Sigma 12mm f1.4 DC Contemporary and Sony E 11mm F1.8 which are not as wide but have faster apertures.
