Leica USA has raised its prices across the board due to new import tariffs, and the Leica D-Lux 8 (read our Real-life review here) took the hardest hit. Its price jumped from $1,590 to a jaw-dropping $2,790, a staggering 75% increase. While the D-LUX 8 is a solid camera with Leica’s premium touches, it’s still built around a Micro Four Thirds sensor and is essentially a reworked Panasonic design. At nearly $2,800, it’s no longer a product we can recommend, it’s simply an outrageous price for what you’re getting, Leica badge or not.
