New Ricoh GR IV Compact Camera with 28mm Equivalent F2.8 Lens and new 26MP APS-C Sensor
The Ricoh GR III has long been a cult favorite among street photographers, so much so that Ricoh struggled to keep up with demand for years. Now, with the arrival of the new GR IV (MSRP $1,499), it’s hard to imagine that excitement slowing down. As you can see from the comparison image, the Ricoh GR IV stands out for being impressively compact and lightweight next to its rivals. Despite its pocket-friendly size, it still packs a serious APS-C sensor, the same format found in the Fujifilm X100VI and larger than the Micro Four Thirds sensor inside the Leica D-Lux 8. On the higher end, both the Leica Q3 and Sony RX1R III feature full-frame sensors paired with faster lenses, but they come in much bulkier bodies.
