New Canon Cinema Camera Teaser
Canon USAPro released a teaser photo for an upcoming EOS Cinema camera that is going to be announced on June 5th, 3pm EDT. Yesterday, I wrote about the anticipated changes and expectations for the upcoming EOS R5 Mark II. However, it seems it will have to wait its turn.
New Camera vs C70 Sensor Size
Some speculate that the new cinema line camera will be the Canon EOS C70 Mark II, succeeding the popular C70 with an RF mount. I have prepared a scaled comparison of the teaser image. By increasing the exposure, the sensor becomes visible, and it appears larger than the C70's Super 35 (26.2 x 13.8 mm) sized sensor, suggesting the possibility of a full-frame sensor (36 x 24 mm) in the new camera. However, there's no certainty; we cannot confirm if the teaser image accurately represents the actual camera. And this can as well be just a totally new camera model.
