Canon Released Firmware Updates for its Cinema Line C400, C80, C70 and R5C Cameras
Canon has released new firmware updates for several cameras in its Cinema line, including the EOS C400 , C80 , C70 , and the EOS R5 C , bringing a mix of new features and operational improvements.
The headline update is 3:2 Full-frame Open Gate recording for the flagship EOS C400, added shortly after the launch of the EOS C50, which is a lower-tier and lower-priced model that already offered Open Gate, as does the more photo-oriented R6 Mark III . The disappointing part is that Canon did not extend Open Gate to the EOS C80, even though it sits just below the C400 as the second highest model in the lineup.
