Canon rolled out two new toys today: the EOS R6 Mark III and the RF 45mm F1.2 STM . The one that really got me excited is the lens. Not just because it says F1.2 on the barrel, but because of the price. $469 for an f/1.2 in 2025 is kind of nuts, compromises or not. It is small, light, and actually affordable, which makes it a legit contender in the RF world.

I am not ignoring the EOS R6 III either. The new 32.5MP sensor, the same one used in the EOS C50 , is a real step up and now a more realistic alternative to the 45MP R5 Mark II depending on your needs.
