Tamron Lens Utility Software is available for PC and Mobile Devices
Tamron lenses with a USB-C port may offer more features than you might think!
I, for one, had thought they were mostly limited to updating the firmware and changing the direction of the focus ring, but I learned that there are more functions you can execute with them. The software you need to use is the Tamron Lens Utility, which can customize selected functions and update the firmware of selected Tamron lenses via USB Type-C connector ports using a computer or a smartphone.
Astro Focus Lock Function is very useful for Astrophotography
Some of the functions are A-B Focus which Lets you smoothly and easily shift focus from one subject to another, Astro Focus Lock (Astro FC-L) Function to support focusing for astrophotography, and Focus Stopper function where Focus range can be set with the lens alone during movie recording. But be aware that not all functions are compatible with all lenses, so you have to check the Compatiilbity table on Tamron Official Page.
