Tokina 11-18mm F2.8 ATX-M
Tokina has announced the Tokina 11-18mm F2.8 ATX-M, a new ultra-wide angle constant aperture zoom lens for the Sony E-mount. The new lens will be competing with the existing popular E-mount lenses such as the Sony E 10-18mm F4 OSS, Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD and Sony E 10-20mm F4 PZ G.
Tokina 11-18mm F2.8 ATX-M Optical Structure
The new lens offers a roughly 16.5–27mm full-frame equivalent focal length range and is constructed of 13 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical (ASPH) and two super low-dispersion (SD) glass elements. Tokina 11-18mm has a 19cm (7.5”) minimum focusing distance with a magnificationr ratio of only 0.1x, an aperture range of F2.8 through F22, a 67mm front-filter thread and a nine-blade aperture diaphragm.
