Leica just released its first 70-200mm F2.8 lens, the Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200 F2.8 ASPH with a price tag of $3,295! Leica is not historically known by its telephoto lenses, let alone zoom ones, but this new lens increases the number of these types of lenses in Leica L mount to three, the others being the APO-Vario-Elmarit-SL 90-280 mm F2.8-4 ($7,295 $5,584), and the Vario-Elmar-SL 100-400 f5-6.3 ($2,235).
