We've been following rumors about the upcoming Fujifilm X-T50 camera, and an image has finally surfaced that seems to confirm its existence. The image, leaked on Twitter by the user how2fly, suggests the camera is real—though as with all rumors, it's wise to remain skeptical.
The new X-T50 is expected to replace the X-T30 II, currently Fujifilm's top entry-level mirrorless camera. It is anticipated to incorporate some high-end features from its more advanced sibling, the X-T5 (X-T5 vs X-T30 II Comparison). It looks to be similar in size to the X-T3- II, and I can't see much difference between them, except that the front dial on the X-T50 appears larger, and there's an angled surface around the dial, possibly to enhance finger ergonomics, whereas the X-T30 II was flat.

We also know that the new X-T50 features a brand new film simulation dial (replacing the drive mode selection dial on X-T30 II), with options of Acros, Nostalgic Negative, Classic Neg., Reala Ace, Classic Chrome, Astia, Velvia, Provia (STD), and customizable FS1, FS2, FS3 preset memories. I personally prefer to have the drive mode dial instead of the film simulations dial, but Fujifilm must have listened to feedback from the users and made this change as a result.
The X-T50 is expected to be announced on May 16th, alongside the new XF 16-50mm F2.8-4.8 kit lens. There is no pricing information for the X-T50 yet, but we will keep you updated as more details become available.
