I just realized that I missed the Fujifilm X-mount Lens roadmap that was released back in February 2024, better late than never, right? The XF 16-50mm F2.8-4.8 lens, rumored to be released alongside the X-T50 camera next week, will be the last new lens Fujifilm offers in 2024 according to the roadmap.
The only Fujifilm brand X-mount lens that was released in all of 2023 was the XF 8mm F3.5 R WR, as far as I can remember. So, it looks like there is a slowdown in the Fujifilm lens development department. Fujifilm's X-mount has a pretty complete lens lineup, so it's not fair to complain about not getting any more lenses this year. Although I would love to see some super telephoto primes, this may never happen considering Fujifilm's lack of interest in the wildlife photography niche (the XF 150-600mm F5.6-8 R LM OIS WR and XF 200mm F2 R LM OIS WR are exceptions). But, of course, you never know.
