Ulanzi CL02 AF 27mm F2.8
I received news this morning about Ulanzi's first lens, the Ulanzi CL02 AF 27mm F2.8 autofocus lens for APS-C sensor E-mount cameras. Ulanzi is well-known for its photography and videography accessories, and this marks its first venture into the lens market. While researching this lens, I discovered another lens released last month that had escaped my notice: the 7Artisans AF 27mm F2.8, which is almost identical to the Ulanzi in terms of specifications. The Ulanzi is priced at $139 (also check the official store) while 7Artisan model is slightly cheaper at $129.
7Artisans AF 27mm F2.8
Both lenses have the same optical formula and external dimensions, however the 7Artisans at 172 g is 10g heavier than the Ulanzi. Even though these are designed for APS-C cameras, they are a bit heavy and large, almost like full-frame lenses. For comparison, check the Fujifilm XF 27mm F2.8 R WR which has the same focal range and aperture, but much smaller and lighter than these two.
