7Artisans has introduced the X-mount version of its 7Artisans AF 27mm F2.8 lens, designed for APS-C cameras, at an affordable price of $129. Previously, this lens was available for Sony E and Nikon Z mounts at the same price.

While compact, the lens isn't quite a pancake design, measuring 42mm in length. In contrast, Fujifilm’s XF 27mm F2.8 R WR is significantly slimmer at just 23mm, nearly half the weight of the 7Artisans. Fujifilm’s option also includes weather sealing and an aperture ring, but at $399, it comes at a much steeper price.
