Viltrox Joins the L-Mount Alliance
Viltrox just made a big move. One of our favorite Chinese lens makers and, in my book, third among third-party brands after Sigma and Tamron, Viltrox has become the 10th member of the L-Mount Alliance. The group launched at photokina 2018 and includes Leica, SIGMA, Panasonic, Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, DJI, ASTRODESIGN, Samyang Optics, Blackmagic Design, and SIRUI.
Viltrox AF 16mm f1.8 will be coming to L-mount soon
The first Viltrox lenses for Leica L mount cameras will be the AF 16mm f1.8 and the AF 28mm F4.5, both full-frame. Since there are no current APS-C L-mount bodies, we expect Viltrox to focus on full-frame coverage for now.
