Sony FX3 and FX3 shares the same body design but totally different sensors
We previously discussed Sony's commitment to releasing a firmware update that would add a Shutter Angle feature to its FX3 (FF) and FX30 (APS-C) cine-line hybrid cameras in our article, Daily Rant: Shutter Angle Must Become a Standard Feature in Mirrorless Cameras. It's great to see Sony keeping their word and rolling out the update as planned in September, along with the major update they released today for the A7R V which came as a bit of a surprise. The improvements are not limited to the Shutter angle though, find the full list of the changes below.
Important: For the FX30, if your Firmware version is older than V1.05, you have to update to V1.05 first before proceeding with the V5.0 update.

FX3 Improvements with the Update v6.00
Benefits and Improvements
- Allows you to choose the exposure time (from either shutter speed or shutter angle) when shooting movies
- Allows you to add OK/NG/KEEP flags to clips during or after movie recording
- Improves the image quality when using 3D LUT software
- Adds the 709tone color mode to Picture Profile. Please set one of the Picture Profiles (PP1-PP11) to the 709tone color mode
- Allows notifications to be displayed when the latest software is available for your camera
- You can now continue shooting while transferring captured photos and videos to a smartphone or tablet

- Transfer to smartphones and tablets can now be resumed even if interrupted in the middle of a transfer
