Sony A7 V is coming on December 2nd
Sony has dropped a fresh teaser on its Instagram page for an announcement on December 2, 2025, and we are almost sure it is for the long rumored Sony A7 V. This new model is expected to replace the hugely popular A7 IV E mount camera, which is now starting to fall behind newer rivals like the Canon EOS R6 Mark III and Nikon Z6 III .
The A7 V is rumored to keep a 33 MP full frame sensor, the same resolution as the Mark IV, but this time use a much faster, partially stacked sensor similar to what we see in the Nikon Z6 III and Panasonic Lumix S1 II. It is also expected to inherit features from Sony’s higher end bodies, including a multi angle tilting and articulating screen, 8 stop in body image stabilization, 30 fps electronic shutter burst, pre capture, and a dedicated AI chip for autofocus and subject recognition.
Sony A7 IV was announced back in October 2021
The new Sony A7 V is expected to start shipping before the end of 2025 with a US price around 3000 dollars. We will share more details as we get closer to the official announcement.
