Meike 50mm F1.8 AF Full-frame Lens for Sony E and Nikon Z Mounts
Once again I am trying to catch up with the recently released third-party lenses that I haven't added to our database yet so far (see Meike 55mm F1.4 ), and the Meike 50mm f1.8 AF is one of those lenses. Lens has an MSRP of $159 and currently available to order for Z mount.
This is going to be an affordable competitor to the Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm F1.8 S which is class or two above the Meike both in quality and price to be honest, and the Sony FE 50mm F1.8 in which is closer to Meike with a sub-$200 price . Meike 50mm F1.8 AF is a full-frame coverage fast constant aperture standard prime lens with full-frame coverage for Sony E and Nikon Z mount cameras. Its optical construction consists of 11 elements in 7 groups and it has 9 diaphragm blades, and has a minimum fopcus distance of 0.63mm. The lens utilizes a stepper motor for focusing and there is an Af/MF switch on the lens body which is a welcome feature for a lens that only sells for $159!
