Viltrox AF 28mm F4.5 FE Chip-size Lens! Do not try at home!
If you are tired of pancake lenses, why not try this 'chip' lens? VIltrox is about to introduce a chip-sized ultra-compact lens. Above is a product image from their Indiegogo page, and it is quite self-explanatory I have to say.
The lens is Auto Focus type, weighs only 60g, and has a length of 15mm! The aperture is fixed at F4.5, so you can't stop it down, similar to the Panasonic Lumix S 26mm F8 L Mount lens, but the Viltrox is much better -at least on paper- since the Panasonic is manual focus and slower at F8

With a price tag of $99 (expected availability October 2024), it is a very affordable and viable alternative to a lens cap! The 28mm F4.5 is only available for Sony E mount cameras currently, and we don't have any info if there is a plan to expand the mount compatibility list in the future.
