According to RedDot Forum, Leica is set to increase prices across its camera and lens lineup in the US starting March 13, 2026. Personally, I find it difficult to recommend buying a brand-new Leica anymore. Regardless of the brand's prestige or the unique shooting experience these tools offer, the rising costs are becoming harder to justify.

If you have your heart set on a Leica, the used market is your best friend. There is a robust and healthy secondary market for these cameras and lenses. If you take excellent care of your gear, you likely won't lose much value when it comes time to sell. In some cases, you might even turn a profit.
