Samyang 35-150mm f2-2.8 Lens Announced
Samyang announced the new Samyang AF 35-150mm F2-2.8 FE lens for Sony E mount cameras. The lens in many ways is almost identical to the Tamron 35-150mm F2-2.8 Di III VXD , the only significant difference being the optical formula. The Samyang has 21 optical elements in 18 groups whereas the Tamron has 21 elements in 15 groups.

However the Samyang 35-150mm has one huge advantage over the Tamron version: Price! Samyang will be selling for $1319 in USA while the Tamron has an MSRP of $1899 , almost $600 higher. Let's wait and see if the new competition will make Tamron reduce their price.
