Talking about DSLR cameras these days almost feels like reminiscing about an old era, even though mirrorless models only took over the ILC market fairly recently. With the exception of Pentax, no major brand is releasing new DSLR models anymore.

Nikon D780 and D6 Fullframe DSLR Cameras
That’s why it’s refreshing to see Nikon still showing love to its DSLR users. The company just rolled out firmware updates for two of its last DSLR models: the D780 ($1,496 Body Only) and the D6 ($6,496 Body only), originally released in January and February 2020, respectively. To be frank, these are not improvements or new features but fixes for some odd bugs, but that's OK!
Nikon D850 is the last and the Best Ever Nikon DSLR
I’m not entirely sure about the D6’s sales, but the D780 definitely did well and still has a large user base, arguably one of Nikon’s best-selling full-frame DSLRs alongside the D750 it replaced (Compare D780 vs D750), and the legendary D850 (Compare D850 vs D780), which closed the DSLR chapter for Nikon in the best way possible.

Nikon D780 firmware update V1.20
• Fixed an issue where black band shaped fog could appear in photos taken when all the following conditions were met:
- In photo live view.
- [On] was selected for silent live view photography.
- Aperture was set near the minimum aperture (highest f-number) in mode M or A.
Nikon D6 firmware update v1.70
- Fixed an issue that would in rare instances result in photos recorded overexposed when [Recall shooting functions (hold)] was assigned to a control and used during shooting.
