Nikon Finally Adds Arca-Swiss Support with the New Z 70-200mm f2.8 VR S II
Nikon has finally listened to the long-standing pleas of landscape and wildlife photographers. With the announcement of the Nikkor Z 70-200 F2.8 VR S II, Nikon has introduced its first lens featuring a tripod foot that is natively compatible with Arca-Swiss style clamps. For years, shooters have had to rely on third-party replacement feet or bulky adapter plates just to mount their glass securely. While this is a massive win for the Nikon ecosystem, it’s worth noting that competitors like Canon and Sony still do not offer built-in Arca-Swiss compatibility on their flagship collars, leaving their users stuck with the same old mounting headaches.
