Leica Q3 43 camera is expected to be released on September 26th
I was initially skeptical when rumors surfaced about a new Leica Q3 variant featuring a ~40mm lens. However, it now seems that the actual version will have a 43mm F2.0 APO lens, and the model name of the new camera will be Leica Q3 43. For comparison, the current Q3 comes with a 28mm F1.7 lens, which is more versatile for general use. Still, many users have expressed a preference for a longer focal length, similar to the 35mm found on the Fujifilm X100VI or Sony RX1R II. While a 43mm focal length is closer to Ricoh GR IIIx's 40mm lens, quite specialized, and may not suit everyone's style and needs, especially as their only camera, it's clear Leica must have done their research to determine there's enough demand to justify this new model.
Leica Q3 43 Features
The new Leica Q3 43 retains the same 60MP full-frame sensor and virtually all other features and specs from the standard Q3. The key differences will be the slightly longer 43mm lens, which will result in a marginal increase in overall dimensions and weight, and the introduction of a new body finish color.

Price and Availability
The new camera will be unveiled on September 26th, 2024, and priced slightly higher than the original Q3 which sells for $6,295. We will keep you updated when we get more details about the pricing.
