Canon to announce 3 New RF Mount Hybrid Lenses on October 30th
Canon is teasing the release of three new L-series hybrid lenses for its RF mount cameras, set to be announced on October 30th, as shown on this B&H Photo page and the Canon USA website. The teaser image reveals silhouettes of three lenses, alongside two existing hybrid models—the RF 35mm F1.4 L VCM and the RF 24-105mm F2.8 L IS USM Z. The upcoming lenses are expected to be the RF 24mm F1.4L VCM, RF 50mm F1.4L VCM, and RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM Z.
Canon: Designed with precision, featuring a uniform size and weight, these lenses will feature an intuitive iris ring for effortless use in video productions, while delivering exceptional photographic quality.
The 50mm and 24mm F1.4 lenses appear to have nearly identical external dimensions (and likely similar weights) to the RF 35mm F1.4 L VCM, making them excellent options for video use.

The new 70-200mm F2.8 Z will feature an internal zoom mechanism—unlike the compact, extending zoom design of the RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM—which makes it a larger but more practical choice for videography. The photo also shows an optional motorized zoom attached to it, similar to the Canon PZ-E2 Power Zoom Adapter that is also used with the RF 24-105mm F2.8 L IS USM Z.
