The recently announced Canon RF 100-300mm f2.8 L IS USM is a very versatile lens but it is also heavy and big! On the other hand, the excellent Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM doesn't have the same reach but it is extremely compact and light. Besides, at $2,799 , it is $6700 cheaper than the new RF 100-300 F2.8. I know it is not a fair comparison in any way but I still wanted to do it to show how much difference an extra 100mm reach makes.
