7Artisans 50mm F1.8 AF
Almost one month after releasing the 7artisans Photoelectric 50mm f1.8 AF E Mount, the company's first AF (Auto Focus) lens ever, 7Artisan released the Nikon Z mount version of the same lens. The lens features a stepper motor for focusing and supports all AF functionality such as facial and eye recognition with Z-mount cameras . The 50mm F1.8 optical structure consists of 11 elements in 9 groups. Two of these elements are aspherical, two are high refraction glass, and one is extra-low dispersion glass. The lens also features an 11-blade diaphragm and an AF/MF mode switch on the body.

How does it compare to Z Mount Nikkor 50mm lenses
Until today, there were only two 50mm Af lenses available for the Z mount: Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm F1.2 S and Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm F1.8 S . With a price tag of $228 only, the new 7Artisan lens is significantly cheaper than the Nikkor lenses.
