Sony ZV-E1 Auto Framing Mode
The feature that impressed me the most on the new Sony ZV-E1 is the AI-based Auto Framing mode. This is how Sony explains this new feature:
Using AI-based subject recognition technology, the Auto Framing feature automatically crops the frame to keep the subject in a prominent position when shooting movies. Even though the camera is mounted on a tripod, framing is continually adjusted so that recorded footage looks like the subject was being followed by an experienced camera operator.
This mode has some restrictions though: It is only available for movies and framing is cropped from 4K images so the final resolution is less than 4K.

I wonder if Sony is ever going to add this feature to an existing camera with a firmware update. The only potential camera that I guess is capable of this feature is the Sony Alpha A7R V since it is the only Sony camera with similar AI-based capabilities. The 8K video resolution on the A7R V could make this feature even more useful as the final footage can have higher resolution compared to ZV-E1 which starts with 4K.
