The new Sony ZV-1 Mark II
As we have reported before, Sony officially announced the new Vlogger camera, successor to the ZV-E1, the new Sony ZV-1 Mark II. Compared to the ZV-1, the new Mark II has a wider lens (18mm vs 24mm), the optical image stabilization is removed and the starting MSRP is higher ($899 vs $749).

The new ZV-1 Mark II sports a new 18-50mm F1.8-4.0 lens, replacing the faster and longer 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 lens on the ZV-E1 (It is also wider the fixed 20mm on the ZV-1F ). The 18mm on the Mark II is a welcome change for the vloggers as the 24mm wasn't wide enough for most vlogging scenarios considering the camera applies an extra crop when Actice stabilization is on. Even with the Active Steady Stabilization on, the 18mm on the ZV-1 Mark II becomes 22mm equivalent which is still wide enough. On the downside, Sony removed the Optical Image stabilization on the Mark II so the new camera relies only on the electronic stabilization which is a shame.
Price and Availability
The ZV-1 Mark II will be available mid-June 2023 at an MSRP of $899.99 with black or white body color options. The camera can be paired with Sony GP-VPT2BT Bluetooth shooting grip for an additional $139.
