SmallRig's new VB99 Pro Mini V-Mount Battery is a powerhouse in a small package that will keep your your cameras, video lights, drones, gimbals, monitors, laptops, phones and more running by delivering a reliable 14A draw at 14.8V, and supports PD fast charging. This is an update to its predecessor, the V99 Mini that we have reviewed and liked earlier.

The updated version, VB99 Pro Mini comes with multiple accessory ports, including D-Tap, 8VDC, 12VDC barrel outputs, USB-C input/output, and USB-A output which makes it very versatile in a studio or outdoor shooting environment. It can be used as a standard V-mount charger, an optional D-Tap charger, or the 100W USB-C input/output with a PD fast charger. And keep tabs on your battery life with the built-in color TFT display.

The color screen which is activated by pressing the Power button* on the battery provides information on active connections, total output, battery status percentage, and estimated remaining battery life in hours and minutes.

Conclusion
I have already liked the old version of this battery a lot and used it in our studio and in the field frequently since our review. It even came with me on some trips, thanks to its travel-friendly size and capacity. The new VB99 Pro Mini has improved things to another level with extra ports and 100W PD fast charging. We highly recommend this new model if the form and functions suit your needs.
