Nikon NX MobileAir Will Become Completely Free on July 9
Good news for current and potential users of Nikon's NX MobileAir app. Nikon has announced (found via NikonRumors) that the app will become completely free starting on July 9, 2026, removing subscription fees and unlocking all features for everyone.

To allow more people to use NX MobileAir without restrictions and with peace of mind, starting with Ver. 1.6, scheduled for release on July 9, 2026, we will remove the functional restrictions related to albums and saved files, and it will be available for free.
Accordingly, new renewals for NX MobileAir's paid plans (monthly auto-renewal subscriptions) will cease on July 9, 2026, and equivalent functionality will be available free of charge thereafter.
Customers who already have a contract can continue to use the service.
If you're not familiar with NX MobileAir, it's Nikon's mobile workflow app designed primarily for photographers who need to transfer images quickly from their cameras to smartphones, FTP servers, or cloud services. It's particularly useful for sports, news, event, and wildlife photographers who need to deliver images while still in the field.
