Sony released two new CFexpress Though Type B cards in 240GB and 480GB capacities. The 240GB will be retailing for $200 whereas the higher-capacity 480GB card will be retailing for $320 .
New Sony CFexpress Type B Cards
Sony's TOUGH series cards have five times greater strength against drops, three times greater bendability compared to standard CFexpress Type B standard so they are highly regarded especially by working professionals. The cards also has extra resistance to extreme temperatures, X-rays, electrostatic, and sunlight. The estimated shipping dates for the new cards are May 7th.
The new cards will join existing Sony Tough CFexpress Cards that are slightly slower than the new cards at 1,700 MB/s read and 1,480 MB/s write speed, below are the latest discounted prices:
