Atomos Ninja TX 5.2-inch Recorder Monitor
Camera monitors have always been one of the first accessories we recommend to readers who want to get serious about video. A larger screen with proper monitoring tools makes framing, focusing, and exposure so much easier. Even better than standard monitors are monitor/recorders like the Atomos Ninja TX and TX GO, which not only show you what the camera sees, but also record it in high quality codecs.

Now there is an extra bonus. Atomos has added a Camera Controls feature to both of these recorders via a free firmware update. With a simple USB-C connection to compatible cameras, you can control key settings directly from the Ninja, including start/stop recording, ISO, shutter speed, white balance and more.
Another new feature that these monitors offer is recording to CFexpress Type B memory cards which are smaller and lighter than the SSD's that predecessor of these recorders used. These can still record to SSD storage but this time via USB-C connection. Below you can find the main features of these two recorders.
