Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs. Fujifilm X-Pro2 has external dimensions of 141 x 83 x 56 mm (5.55 x 3.27 x 2.2″) and weighs 495 g (1.09 lb / 17.46 oz) (including batteries). Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Fujifilm X-Pro2 is 2g lighter than the Fujifilm X-Pro3 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.

Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Fujifilm X-Pro2 and Fujifilm X-Pro3 have the same Fujifilm X lens mount and APS-C sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.

Weather Sealing

Both the X-Pro2 and the X-Pro3 have weather sealings in their bodies, making them resistant to water and dust.

LCD Screen Size and Features

Fujifilm X-Pro2 and Fujifilm X-Pro3's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.

On the other hand, Fujifilm X-Pro3 features a Tilting screen where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels whereas the Fujifilm X-Pro2 has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to X-Pro3.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 vs Fujifilm X-Pro3: Sensor Comparison

Fujifilm X-Pro2 has a 24.0MP APS-C (23.6 x 15.6 mm ) sized CMOS X-TRANS III sensor and features EXR Processor III processor. On the other hand, Fujifilm X-Pro3 has a 26.0MP APS-C (23.5 x 15.6 mm ) sized BSI-CMOS sensor and features X-Processor 4 processor.

Another similarity between these two cameras is that both Fujifilm X-Pro3 and Fujifilm X-Pro2 sensors lack anti-alias (Low-Pass) filters. Removing anti-alias filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but at the same time, it increases the chance of moiré occurring in certain scenes.

Below you can see the X-Pro2 and X-Pro3 sensor size comparison.

Sensor Size and Resolution Comparison image of Fujifilm X-Pro2 and Fujifilm X-Pro3 Cameras

Fujifilm X-Pro2 and Fujifilm X-Pro3 have almost the same sensor size, so neither of them has any significant advantage over the other in terms of providing control over depth of field when used with the same focal length and aperture.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 vs Fujifilm X-Pro3 Comparison of Available Lenses
Which camera has more lenses?

The number of available lenses is a big deciding factor when choosing your interchangeable lens camera. Fujifilm X-Pro2 and Fujifilm X-Pro3 have the same Fujifilm X lens mount and currently there are 83 native lenses available for these cameras.

Another important factor is the availability of image stabilization. None of these bodies have sensor based image stabilization so you have to buy lenses with Optical stabilization feature. Currently there are 18 lenses with Image stabilization for Fujifilm X mount.
