Fujifilm X-Pro3 Sensor and Photography Features

Fujifilm X-Pro3 has a 26.0MP APS-C (23.5 x 15.6 mm ) sized BSI-CMOS sensor and features X-Processor 4 processor. You can shoot at maximum resolution of 6240 x 4160 pixels with aspect ratios of and 3:2. X-Pro3 has a native ISO range of 160 - 12800 which can be boosted to 80 - 51200 and it can save files in RAW format which gives you a wider room for post processing.

Fujifilm X-Pro3 is not the highest resolution APS-C camera. Fujifilm X-T5 with its 40.2MP sensor is leading in this class. Check the comparison of Fujifilm X-Pro3 vs Fujifilm X-T5 or take a look at Highest resolution Mirrorless cameras list.

    Anti-Aliasing Filter

Another important feature about Fujifilm X-Pro3's sensor is the lack of anti-alias (Low-pass) filter. Removing anti-aliasing filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but on the other side it also increases the chance of moiré occurring in certain scenes.

Let's look at how the size of the Fujifilm X-Pro3's APS-C sensor compares with other standard sensor sizes.

    Fujifilm X-Pro3 Sensor Size Comparison
Comparison image of Fujifilm X-Pro3 Sensor Size with other standard sensors

    Fujifilm X-Pro3 LCD and Viewfinder

Fujifilm X-Pro3 has a Tilting 3.00-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,620k dots. Tilting screens are more photography oriented while Fully articulated screens are highly preferred by videographers. Both the screen size and the screen resolution is up to the standards of this class.

LCD is Touch screen type, so you can change the settings and set the focus point with your fingertips.

Fujifilm X-Pro3 back view and LCD

Unfortunately Fujifilm X-Pro3 doesn't have a Selfie friendly screen. If this feature is important for your shooting style, check here the list of Best Mirrorless Cameras with Selfie Friendly LCD screen.

X-Pro3 has a built-in Electronic and Optical (tunnel) viewfinder, making it easier to shoot in direct sunlight and in other situations where it might be difficult to view the LCD monitor. The viewfinder has a resolution of 3,690kdots and coverage of 95%. 95% coverage means that what you see in your viewfinder while shooting will slightly be different from the actual image.

Fujifilm X-Pro3 Connectivity, Storage and Battery

Fujifilm X-Pro3 features built-in wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity ( 802.11b/g/n + Bluetooth) which lets you transfer your photos directly to compatible devices without any physical connection. Fujifilm X-Pro3's Bluetooth connectivity feature comes handy for connecting other devices that supports it. One other feature that we like is the ability to use our smartphone as a remote to control our X-Pro3. You can change camera settings, release shutter, view LCD screen and tranfer files using remote control app.

Fujifilm X-Pro3 has a USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 GBit/sec) port to connect your camera to other devices.
