Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Sony A6300 and Sigma fp side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Sony A6300 has external dimensions of 120 x 67 x 49 mm (4.72 x 2.64 x 1.93″) and weighs 404 g (0.89 lb / 14.25 oz) (including batteries). Sigma fp has external dimensions of 113 x 70 x 45 mm (4.45 x 2.76 x 1.77″) and weighs 422 g (0.93 lb / 14.89 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Sony A6300 and the Sigma fp. Sigma fp is 7mm narrower and 4mm thinner than Sony A6300 but it is also 3mm taller.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Sony A6300 and Sigma fp.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Sony A6300 and Sigma fp.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sony A6300 is 18g lighter than the Sigma fp but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since Sigma fp has a Full frame sensor and Sony A6300 has a smaller APS-C sensor, Sony A6300's lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will generally be lighter and smaller than the Sigma fp lenses.
Weather Sealing
Both the A6300 and the fp have weather sealings in their bodies, making them resistant to water and dust.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Sigma fp's 3.20" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony A6300's 3 screen.
On the other hand, Sony A6300 LCD screen has a
Tilting feature where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels. On the other hand, Sigma fp has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to A6300.
