Sigma fp Sensor and Photography Features

Sigma fp has a 25.0MP Full frame (35.9 x 23.9 mm ) sized BSI-CMOS sensor . You can shoot at maximum resolution of 6000 x 4000 pixels with aspect ratios of 1:1, 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9. fp has a native ISO range of 100 - 25600 which can be boosted to 6 - 102400 and it can save files in RAW format which gives you a wider room for post processing.

Sigma fp is not the highest resolution Full frame camera. Sony A7R V with its 61.0MP sensor is leading in this class. Check the comparison of Sigma fp vs Sony A7R V or take a look at Highest resolution Mirrorless cameras list.

Let's look at how the size of the Sigma fp's Full frame sensor compares with other standard sensor sizes.

    Sigma fp LCD

Sigma fp has a Fixed Type 3.20-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,100k dots. The Sigma fp's 3.20" screen is larger than average and its resolution is up to the class standarts.

fp doesn't have a viewfinder and no option for external viewfinder. Lack of a viewfinder can be problematic especially under strong light where visibility of LCD screens goes down dramatically. If you need a Mirrorless camera with a built-in viewfinder in a similar price range, consider Panasonic S5 Mark II (Compare) or Panasonic S5 Mark II X (Compare).
Alternatively, check here the list of all Mirrorless cameras with viewfinder..

Sigma fp Connectivity, Storage and Battery

One other feature that we like is the ability to use our smartphone as a remote to control our fp. You can change camera settings, release shutter, view LCD screen and tranfer files using remote control app.

You can connect fp to compatible devices via its HDMI port or USB port.

Sigma fp also features USB charging capability which let's you charge your camera via a usb cable without removing the battery.
