Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Sony A1 and Fujifilm GFX 50S side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Sony A1 has external dimensions of 129 x 97 x 81 mm (5.08 x 3.82 x 3.19″) and weighs 737 g (1.62 lb / 26.00 oz) (including batteries). Fujifilm GFX 50S has external dimensions of 148 x 94 x 91 mm (5.83 x 3.7 x 3.58″) and weighs 740 g (1.63 lb / 26.10 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Sony A1 and the Fujifilm GFX 50S. Sony A1 is 19mm narrower and 10mm thinner than Fujifilm GFX 50S but it is also 3mm taller.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Sony A1 and Fujifilm GFX 50S.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Sony A1 and Fujifilm GFX 50S.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sony A1 is 3g lighter than the Fujifilm GFX 50S but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since Fujifilm GFX 50S has a Medium format sensor and Sony A1 has a smaller Full frame sensor, Sony A1's lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will generally be lighter and smaller than the Fujifilm GFX 50S lenses.
Weather Sealing
Both the A1 and the GFX 50S have weather sealings in their bodies, making them resistant to water and dust.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Fujifilm GFX 50S's 3.20" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony A1's 3″ screen.
