Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Fujifilm X-T4 is 5g lighter than the Canon R7 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.

Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you have to also take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Canon R7 and Fujifilm X-T4 have the same APS-C sized sensor, their lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will be similar in size and weight.

Canon R7 vs Fujifilm X-T4: Sensor Comparison

Canon R7 has a 33.0MP APS-C (22.2 x 14.8 mm ) sized CMOS sensor and features Digic X processor. On the other hand, Fujifilm X-T4 has a 26.0MP APS-C (23.5 x 15.6 mm ) sized X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor .

Canon R7's sensor provides 7MP more than Fujifilm X-T4's sensor, which gives a significant advantage in real life. You can print your images larger or crop more freely. On the other hand, please keep in mind that Max sensor resolution is not the only determinant of resolving power. Factors such as the optical elements, low pass filter, pixel size and sensor technology also affects the final resolution of the captured image.

One other difference between these two cameras that is worth mentioning is that Fujifilm X-T4's sensor doesn't have an anti-alias (Low-Pass) filter. Removing anti-alias filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but at the same time, it increases the chance of moire occurring in certain scenes.

Below you can see the R7 and X-T4 sensor size comparison.
