Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Sony A68 and Pentax KF side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Sony A68 has external dimensions of 143 x 104 x 81 mm (5.63 x 4.09 x 3.19″) and weighs 610 g (1.34 lb / 21.52 oz) (including batteries). Pentax KF has external dimensions of 126 x 93 x 74 mm (4.94 x 3.66 x 2.91″) and weighs 684 g (1.50 lb / 24.12 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Sony A68 and the Pentax KF. Pentax KF is clearly the smaller of the two cameras. Its body is 17mm narrower, 11mm shorter and 7mm thinner than Sony A68.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Sony A68 and Pentax KF.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Sony A68 and Pentax KF.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Sony A68 is 74g lighter than the Pentax KF but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Sony A68 and Pentax KF have the same APS-C sized sensor, their lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will be similar in size and weight.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the KF, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the A68.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Pentax KF's 3.00" LCD screen is slightly larger than Sony A68's 2.7 screen.
