Size and weight are big decision factors when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs.
In this section, we are going to illustrate the Leica CL and Sony A6300 side-by-side from the front, back and top in their relative dimensions. Leica CL has external dimensions of 131 x 78 x 45 mm (5.16 x 3.07 x 1.77″) and weighs 403 g (0.89 lb / 14.22 oz) (including batteries). Sony A6300 has external dimensions of 120 x 67 x 49 mm (4.72 x 2.64 x 1.93″) and weighs 404 g (0.89 lb / 14.25 oz) (including batteries).
Below you can see the front-view size comparison of the Leica CL and the Sony A6300. Sony A6300 is 11mm narrower and 11mm shorter than Leica CL but it is also 4mm thicker.
Here is the back view size comparison of the Leica CL and Sony A6300.
Now lets look at the top view comparison of Leica CL and Sony A6300.
Weight is another important factor, especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day.
Leica CL is 1g lighter than the Sony A6300 but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you also have to take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Leica CL and Sony A6300 have the same APS-C sized sensor, their lenses for a similar focal length and aperture will be similar in size and weight.
Weather Sealing
Thanks to the weather-sealed body of the A6300, you can use this camera with more confidence under conditions where there is risk of exposure to water and dust compared to the CL.
LCD Screen Size and Features
Leica CL and Sony A6300's LCD screens have the same diagonal size of 3.00 inches.
On the other hand, Sony A6300 features a
Tilting screen where you can change the angle of the screen to make it easier to shoot from waist or over-the-head levels whereas the Leica CL has a fixed type screen which provides less flexibility in shooting positions compared to A6300.
