Both Canon 1200D and Sony HX20V have 18.0 MP resolution sensors but Canon 1200D's sensor is APS-C (22.3 x 14.9 mm ) and Sony HX20V's sensor is 1/2.3-inch (6.17 x 4.55 mm ).
